Rocket Blob is a game for young children, made by KIZA, Inc. The short version: Rocket Blob does not collect, store or share any personal information, from children or from anyone else.
What the app collects
Nothing. Rocket Blob has:
- no ads and no advertising identifiers,
- no analytics, crash reporting or other third-party code (the Amazon Appstore and Google Play versions include only that store's own code for the in-app purchase, and the Google Play version also Google's own rating screen),
- no accounts, sign-in, chat or sharing,
- no links out of the app for children,
- no internet connection of its own. The game never talks to our servers or anyone else's; only the app store's own code talks to the app store, to check or make the purchase or, on Google Play, to show Google's rating screen.
The only times the app involves the internet are the in-app purchase and Restore Purchases, which are handled by the app store you downloaded the game from (Apple's App Store, Google Play or the Amazon Appstore; see “Purchases” below), and the “Email us” button on the grown-ups screen, which opens a draft in your device's email app (see “If you email us” below). The store or your email app, not Rocket Blob, makes those connections.
What stays on your device
The app saves a few things on the device so the game works: the best star score for each zone, whether sounds are on, and whether the zones have been unlocked. This never leaves the device, and we can't see it. Deleting the app deletes it.
Purchases
The one in-app purchase (unlocking all zones) is handled entirely by the app store you downloaded Rocket Blob from: Apple's App Store, Google Play or the Amazon Appstore (including on Fire TV). To complete a purchase or restore one, the app asks that store, which connects to its own servers over the internet and is governed by its own privacy policy (Apple, Google, Amazon). We never see your name, store account or payment details, and Rocket Blob sends no other information to the store or anyone else. The purchase, Restore Purchases and app ratings are behind a parental gate that asks a grown-up question.
If you email us
If you write to us (the grown-ups screen has an “Email us” button), we get your email address and your message. To help us help you, the draft the app opens also lists the app version, the device model, the system version and the app's language. You can change or delete any of it before sending. We use emails only to answer you, never for marketing, and keep them only as long as we need them to help you.
Children's privacy
Rocket Blob is made for children 5 and under and is designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and each app store's rules for children's apps. The app collects nothing from children, and the “Email us” button sits behind the parental gate. If you'd like an email you sent us deleted, just ask.
Your California privacy rights
California law (the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) gives California residents the right to know what personal information a business collects about them, to have it deleted or corrected, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be treated differently for using any of these rights. Here is where Rocket Blob stands:
- The app collects no personal information, including sensitive personal information. The only personal information we have is what people choose to email us (identifiers: an email address, and the message itself), used only to reply.
- We do not sell or share personal information, and we never have, including that of anyone under 16.
- We do not disclose personal information to anyone for their direct marketing (California's “Shine the Light” law).
You can still ask us about any of these rights by emailing us (below). We'll answer within 45 days, and asking never changes how the app works for you.
Do Not Track
Neither the app nor this website tracks you across other sites and apps, so a browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal has nothing to switch off. We'd honor it if it did.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies or advertising trackers, and loads no third-party content (even its fonts are served from here). Like most websites, it keeps general records of its traffic: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and browser type) for security and reliability, and we count visits to the short links on our printed QR codes, with the time, the rough location (city, region and country, worked out from the connection, never from your device), the kind of device and browser, and the page the visit came from. These records tell us how many people visit and which flyers get used. We don't use them to identify anyone, and we never sell or share them.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change ever meant the app would collect something, we'd say so on this page before that version of the app came out.
