Kid Mode
Nothing is ever lost.
No lives and no clock. Miss a jump and a friendly stork carries the nisse back up. Bump into something and he takes a dizzy tumble, then keeps going. It is the default.
A fairy-tale platform adventure.
An ostrich has snatched the Danish crown, and one little nisse, the red-capped house elf of Danish folklore, is going to get it back.
The story
Little Denmark Dash is a platformer based on Solvang, California. Run and jump across half-timbered rooftops, through a bakery before dawn, among the turning gears of a broken clock tower, and up the shelves of a giant storybook.
Earn lots of æbleskiver (round Danish pancakes) as you chase the ostrich and return the Danish crown she has taken! Explore secret levels and enjoy nostalgic gameplay and controls.

Two ways to play
Pick a mode on the first launch, and switch any time in Settings.
Kid Mode
No lives and no clock. Miss a jump and a friendly stork carries the nisse back up. Bump into something and he takes a dizzy tumble, then keeps going. It is the default.
Classic Mode
Played like the platformers you remember: run out of lives and the level starts over. Every 100 æbleskiver earns an extra life, and Game Center leaderboards keep score.
Two worlds at launch
The real Danish town in California, from the rooftops.
Hej Solvang
Chimneys to hop, stork nests to bounce on, and ducks to dodge on a sunny morning.
The Bakery
Conveyor belts, rising dough and rolling loaves, all seen from knee-high.
Copper Slides
Sit down on the green copper roofs and slide, faster and faster, then jump off the end.
The Round Tower
Climb the spiral brick ramp while wheels of cheese come rolling down.
“Once upon a time”: Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales come to life.
Fairy-tale Lane
Bounce on the princess's tall pile of mattresses and float across the streets under Ole Lukøje's umbrella.
Clockworks
Ride the turning gears and swinging pendulums inside the clock tower.
The Steeple Chase
Race over copper steeples and clotheslines at dusk.
The Storybook Castle
Climb giant bookcases to a grumpy ostrich in a paper crown.
Every level hides three paper-cut hearts, and each one you find fills in part of a paper-cut picture in the Scrapbook. There are hidden blocks and secret rooms, the windmill at the end of each level pays more the higher you grab it, and the hills behind town have a few surprises of their own.
Keep an eye on the scruffy duckling waddling behind the ducks, too. It keeps getting bigger.
Players pick up a few Danish words along the way, and the Help pages tell the true stories behind the game, from the Danish-Americans who founded Solvang in 1911 to why a nisse will do anything for a bowl of rice pudding.
